Stories often feature toys as their main characters. Barbie, Toy Story, Winnie the Pooh, the Velveteen Rabbit, Old Bear, Pinocchio - to name just a few. Bring a loved-toy with happy memories from your own childhood - or a toy belonging to a friend or child - to feature as the main character in your own illustrated short story zine, to take away at the end of the workshop - a creative project for yourself or as a gift.

DRAW MUSES AT THE MUSEUM

Draw the ancient classical muse goddesses that inspired our modern-day museums and the iconic modern muses who inspired artists and designers. This workshop with Illustrator Lois Pawson combines life drawing with fantasy illustration - using pencil, pastel & charcoal.

Draw mythical creatures of the seas and rivers: mermaids, sirens, krakens, river nymphs, ship figureheads and serpents. A workshop combining still life drawing inspired by exhibits at the Marlipins Museum with fantasy illustration - using pencil, pastel & charcoal.

DRAWN OUT - Sunday Sketching Outdoors
Join these informal gatherings of sketchers outdoors in Shoreham-by-Sea - weather permitting! Just bring your own sketchbook and art materials, a drink or snack, comfortable clothing and something to sit on. These outdoor sketching gatherings are free to attend and suitable for adults (16+) - both experienced sketchers and beginners. Not a class or a workshop, but a shared experience of enjoying being creative outdoors, with no judgement about each others artwork. Participants are responsible for taking away and disposing of any litter. Accompanying children or pets are welcome but their 'responsible adult' must be with and looking after them.
